This market had its beginning in May 2022. A committee formed at Elks Lodge #6 and working with the City of Sacramento identified a need for a Farmer's Market in The Pocket/Greenhaven area located in South Sacramento. The concept was not only to offer a variety of fresh and organic food to the local area but provide a family and dog friendly environment for the community and visitors as well. This market also offers a variety of other items from small business owners such as home-made bakery goods, fresh flowers, candles, local honey, live music by local musicians and food trucks. On any given Sunday, you can see shoppers walking or biking from their nearby homes that surround the site, children with their wagons or carts going up and down the market aisles looking for that special treat, and enjoying a morning outing with family. And those shoppers who drive to the site are provided with ample parking right on the premises of the market.
